该研究组在多年前已经发现,某些紫堇群体中同时包含两类叶色的个体:既有“正常”的绿色型,也有“特殊”的隐蔽色型。具有隐蔽色的个体与周遭的岩石非常相似,很容易被人忽略,只有在开花的时候才自己。以囊距紫堇(Corydalisbenecincta)为研究对象,研究者此前已经证实,与绿色个体相比,色个体具有更高的生存概率。
